With cellular phones as common as stationary telephones, a special use has been found, namely that of personal security. The “In Case of Emergency” number, or ICE in short, is recommended that you always enter as a contact in your cellular phone. It must have a complete telephone number (including international prefix) attached to the contact. As this method of storing ICE numbers in cellular phones spreads, the efficiency of helping people in distress will certainly increase! Imagine yourself if you find someone who is unconscious, or let’s say you simply find a cellular phone. That ICE number can prove to be life saving information, as you call it and present yourself and the situation at hand.
If you want to enter several emergency number, simply name them using the acronyms ICE1, ICE2, etcetera. Simply put, start using the ICE number(s) at once! For us travellers, it is a certain way of improving the pesonal security.
